CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, México, ene. 15-2014.- Los directores Alfonso Cuarón y JJ Abrams, junto al actor Chris Pine y Cheryl Boone Isaacs, presidente de la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas (AMPAS, por sus siglas en inglés), anunciaron las nominaciones para la 87a edición de los Premios Oscar.
Por primera vez, los nominados en las 24 categorías fueron anunciados en vivo, Cuarón y Abrams anunciaron los nominados en 11 categorías, seguidos de Pine y Boone Isaacs para las 13 categorías restantes.
Entre la lista de nominados a los Premios Oscar, ‘Birdman’ del mexicano Alejando González Iñárritu, arrasó con 9 nominaciones, incluyendo la de Mejor Director y Mejor Película.
Será el 22 de febrero, cuando el Dolby Theatre de Los Ángeles y Neil Patrick Harris, que se estrena como presentador de los Oscar, ofrezcan con una gala producida por Craig Zadan y Neil Meron, en el marco de la premiación más importante en la cinematografía.
